Anyone know where i can buy some type of material where i can cut it to fit the opening for the heater core to the firewall?

Or what type of foam i should buy? Grainger has a lot to choose from just not sure what type i should get???

Thank you,
Chris

Are you looking for that sticky rubbery tape like stuff that they use on AC and hearters to seal where pipes and hoses go through heater sheet metal and in your case a fire wall?

Why not just buy one made for it?

Because some of the older Jeeps use the rubery stuff and not a big ol rubber gasket thing.

Strip caulk looks to be user friendly. Heck plaster on some duct seal!:D , a gasket would look neater if one that will work could be obtained.

I got that one on order, just waiting for the ups.

THe one I can not find is the fresh air drain doughnut. It is just round, near .600 thick and a pain to replace after the dash is put back together.

I have ended up with the old crusty one and the sticky caulk. It just would have been nice to replace all of them with factory gaskets while the entire jeep is stripped down.
