Ford focus dual electric fan and shroud swap
I put the fans in front of the radiator. It still was not a ford twin fan and it was still a bit tight.

kind of freaks people out when they see no fan.:D
 
I remember that when I was researching how to do mine. So you went with the pusher fans route. I thought about it but decided on continuing to pull the air.
 
Yeah, while the V8's may have detractors, at least they're short enough to fit these fans. I missed the O.P. had a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l , sorry :o

It appears that I forgot to include that I swapped the s10 blazer v6 4.3l engine in my cj... Sorry for missing that vital piece of information... :o
And now I have a lot more room when before with the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l I could barely get the fan and radiator to fit..
 
The neat thing about that Merc fan was, when I picked it I found it cached in the trunk of an adjacent car and by luck I happened to spo it out of the corner of my eye and as I recall it was only about $25-30 with a 3 ft. long pigtail!
