1970 CJ5, V6, 3spd, power steering, headers, electric fans, upgraded larger radiator, '78 grill, disc brakes (front only), swing pedals, hyd clutch, extended front shock mounts, upgraded front driveline w larger u-joints, warn OD, D30 front diff, lockers, 2100 carb, working on a '74 tub replacement, '78 windshield frame with '78+ Acme hardtop
Anybody have the ratios of the auto 350 compared to a 14? Looking at a conversion in a CJ5 so looking the 350 because of the shorter length when compared to the 400.

Thanks,

Got them, sorry for the bother!

T-14 : 3:10, 1:61, 1:00 rev, 3:10

Turbo 350: 2:52, 1:52, 1:00

SO, this generates a different question.

How much effect in crawling over the tough stuff does the difference of the two low gears have? V6, 35" tires, 4:88 gears, will it still perform at an acceptable level with the higher gear in the 350?

:)rocmoc,
Due to the torque applied through a "Good" Converter the low gear ratio near double's itself in low gear only.........So think 5:1 in Low gear.
