Having 4.56 put in. This is a street driver that will hopefully see some trails soon. I like the idea of the ox with cable actuation so I can keep it open on street. That is how it works right? And in the front, the hubs completely lockout the front two right?

The Ox is a great locker that can be locked for the trail or unlocked for the street.
The front warn hubs only lock the wheel to the axle and have nothing to do with the diff.
They are just to help gas mileage, even with them locked you still only have an open diff.

So I need a locker for front too?

Since your cj will see more street than trails you probably don't really need the front locker.
You will need a new carrier for the 4:56's though so if you want a front locker now would be the time to do it.

I simply cannot afford lockers. Im going open or posi and if i get the opportunity, ill add lockers in the future. Just too much money right now

You can get really far on the trail with open diffs. I have ARB's and use them as a last resort, so 98% of the time I'm open.

Thats good to hear. I just cant afford 1600 in lockers plus a grand for gears

Just went up and put the cj in neutral and wiggled driveshaft. It has a ton of play and i can hear it catch in the rearend. Im getting gears done, will this fix the issue. Its definatley loose in the rear not at the transfer.
