This is the header that came with my 82 CJ7 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l CID. Considering there are only 4 mounting hole, I don't see how they got this thing to seal. Any reason that I'm unaware of to cut this. I'm sure I can have it welded back. Any thoughts?

The intake manifold will also help hold it on the head.

Pretty sure that's the way that header was originally manufactured.

It's hard to tell from the photo but it's pretty obvious that it was cut with a right angle grinder or something similar. I'll take yalls word that it'll function. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my time. Thanks for the help guys.
