I have a 1975 CJ5 . I was an idiot and was hooking up new license plate lights. I cut the power/ground wires and instantly all of the lights went out- The headlights, side markers, brake lights and interior dash lights.

I'm assuming I popped the fuse and the power/ground wires touched. The power was on at the time the wires touched.

I looked over the wiring diagram but it's pretty confusing to me. The 75 didn't have a fuse box as I understand it. Can anyone lead me in the direction of where exactly the fuse was popped?

I thought '74 and up started using a fuse panel. Wasn't it pre-74 that had inline fuses and no panel? Here's a 74-75 wiring diagram (and the key page) and it shows a fuse panel. If no fuse panel, then those earlier ones just had inline fuses behind the dash.

You are awesome. I stuck my giant head under the dash and found the panel. Thank you so much!
