Build Thread IrmoDog's 80 CJ5 Rebuild

Based on feedback and the fact that I already have everything broke down, I am just going ahead and do a full rebuild from the ground up. I have the it down to the frame with the motor and axles still attached.

I am going to remove the front / read axles and order a new 3" lift kit. While I am waiting on the kit to arrive, I figure I'll go ahead and go thru the diff and Transfer Case , checking seals and replacing fluids.

I'll post updated pics once I get the axles seperated. It will be easier to prep the frame (check for cracks or stressed areas), POR15, then prime and paint.

sounds good, i hope to be able to pull the body off mine and do all of this someday. just don't have a place to do it right now. kinda want to restore the body and frame on mine with upgrades of course
