Assuming the engine runs, all the gauges work, and all the front lights work, the only idea I have is that those wires were for the computer controlled carb that was on some models with the 2.5L engine. And just to nitpick, the engine is made by Pontiac. Later versions of which wound up the the Fiero and S-10/S-15 trucks. Not related to the Chevy Iron Duke.

Being that I have a wiring harness from a 1980 Buick Regal. I would say they look like tail light wires. Are there 4 wires?

Sorry about the delay on this. There are 4 wires but all of the lights work without them. I'll keep searching...
