Looks like there is suppose to be a large bolt going into the bottom of my radiator and a bushing and it's missing. Can anyone give me the size of that and the thread? It appears it's been missing for sometime.thanks and happy new year guys!!

radiator or the grill shell?

Looks like it goes right into the very bottom, about a 3/4 inch hole.looks like they're is a bushing in between the rail and the radiator but it's just sliding around in there.i don't see any thread where something screws into.is there threads in the bottom of the radiator?

I'm thinking this would be the front body mount. There should be info about that on the www or somebody could send some pics.

Doesn't sound like a radiator mount to me. There is only one mounting point in the front of your Jeep and that is in the middle of the grill shell. As you describe the nut part is actually a threaded plate that slided back and forth inside a sort of track. The frame crossmember should have a corresponding hole (the hole will be BIG) where a relatively standard rubber body puck should be. If you don't have the puck or the bolt your whole front end is attached by the bolts back at the tub.

:agree:

The body mount nuts are captured by a sheet metal cage that alot of people find rusted out and the nut just spins. I am dealing with that now on the front mount on mine. I am going to weld my nut in place. I bought the 1'' daystar body lift that comes with all the hardware. The bolt under the grill in my kit is a 3/8-16x3.5. Hope that hepls.

yes you are correct, days have been long at work and its been about 25 below wind chill here so i just crawled under there again and it is on the rail between the frame rails just in front of the radiator.there is a bushing there just no bolt. What does the bolt screw into thats suppose to be there?I take it its that "plate bolt" it also looks like it goes through the front grill.I'll try to find a drawing tonight to see how it all goes together. Thanks for the help everyone!!! hope to have this thing back together soon!!
