Can anyone decipher the p/n on my radiator?

It's a center cap with a rebuilt AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l from a few years ago. I'm trying to determine if the used an OEM radiator during the rebuild.

It doesn't seem to match what the service manual says for radiator ID.

ReadyCool cross-references 5353966 with their, "3 Row Aluminum Radiator for 1972-1986 Jeep CJ CJ5 CJ6 CJ7 Scrambler 3.8L AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l 5.0L L6 V8 Engine"

Thanks.

:welcome:

This has had me scratchingy head for hours.
What are you trying to accomplish or are just curious? Are you looking for an aluminum replacement

I'm trying to determine if they used an OEM radiator during the rebuild, so I know what I have.

There are overflow bottle holes on the driver's fender, but the hose comes out of the passenger side of the radiator cap and simply runs down the side of the radiator.

I can't find anything that deciphers the part number in the AMC/Jeep material I have.

This is a recent purchase, so my plan is to drive it this summer to see what I have and over winter tackle upholstery, wiring, dash, OD tranny swap, and likely a Howell EFI.

Yea, the ReadyCool # 1215-WH583D, their 3-row aluminum CJ replacement, is what cross references with 5353966, which also has a Transmission oil cooler built-in. The cap is in the center and the overflow points to passenger side. That part # (5353966) is an OEM number however. So looks like you have the OEM unit that could be cross referenced to the ReadyCool or others if you wanted to replace it.

I’m not sure we can transfer that technology across the border now. ;) :chug:
