Manual to Automatic Question

I have a 79 CJ7 with a 360 and a 3speed. I have a jeep automatic laying around I want to swap in. I will get a Transfer Case and driveshafts. I was wondering if there is anything I need to know, things to do, not to do, things I need, etc. thanks for any advice and info!

If it’s a torqueflite you need the kick down linkage, it won’t last long with out it, you also need a shifter for it so either a new steering column or floor shifter, flex plate for the torque converter, make sure the torque converter works for the 360 balance, and a Transmission cooler
