So I went out this morning thinking I would be taking the CJ. The spongy brakes told me otherwise. I looked in the resevoir, but there wasn't any fluid. I looked for leaks, but didn't see any. This leads me to believe that the master cylider leaked into the booster.

My plan now is to get a complete kit (booster and MC). One thing I"m noticing is there is an abundance of different sizes (mostly 1 and 1.125) and prices. My ultimate plan is maybe 32 or 33 inch tires.

I'm looking for advice on which units I should look at and purchase. My Jeep is disc/drum, and I plan on keeping that. I know I'll have to bench bleed the master cylinder before install, but live in an apartment so I'll tow the jeep into work. I also have some stainless lines that I'll install at the same time.

Thanks for any advice.

How are your rotor pads? On disk brakes, when the pads wear out brake fluid runs low.

They're in great shape. I looked all over and took apart the rear drums yesterday and no leaks. The resevior was filled, and when I looked at it it was empty on the side closest to the booster. This leads me to believe that the booster now is housing the fluid.

Thank you.

Master cylinder and booster replaced and I used my new Motive pressure bleeder. That thing might be the best purchased tool ever.

In any case brakes are back, and better than ever.
