The 0.020" -0.080" tolerance Moser lists in their instructions for the spacer, seems like an awful lot to me. What did ya'll end up with upon final assembly?

Unless I'm missing something, 0.060" is a lot axial play, when talking about fitting a bearing into a race...

I saw one post somewhere where someone took it under 0.010" for the same reason.

Axle housings flex, and they also expand when they get warm.
Moser knows what it's is doing.......

I understand and agree that most of the people (engineers) there know what they're doing (don't always trust customer reps...). From my perspective though, being a semi-retired mechanical design engineer, I've been taught to question anything that doesn't make sense. Doesn't mean that anyone is wrong (Moser), but I just like to know...

I have worked in bearing design on many platforms - just trying to understand how these parts go together with that much tolerance...

Thanks for your input LG, I am beginning to understand your value to this site. Your experience is invaluable... :)
