The roller for the herculiner is :dung:.
I scuffed my jeeps floor really good, no shiney spots, vacuumed everything I could then wiped it down a couple times with denatured alcohol. Then using the brush I applied a thin coat let it get tacky then applied a 2nd heavy coat, repeat process until desired thickness. It looks great, but I recommend the UV stuff they have if you care about it fading to a grayish color. Mine faded but it's a floor and I didn't really care the much. Oh if you do scratch or mess up a spot throwing :dung: around patching is easy easy.

Glad to hear/see your 8 is coming along well! I'm pretty sure thats an anti theft hold down on the battery:D

Hey Pete that chain looks stronger than a J hook

Lol guys! Brock , thanx for the heads up on the herculiner. Im hoping to do it before vacation. Since the floor pans and rockers are fixed Im about 90% rust free. Just a few small bubble spots. I'll attack those after I Herculine it.

I just Hurcd my YJ and I used the roller mostly.I put a light coat and let it tack up, then I put some heavy coats on with the roller. It leaves a nice texture. So even if you want to brush it on, Save the roller to smooth it out.But I didnt have a problem with the roller.

Preparation is key when you do it.I spent 4-6 hours prepping it and less than a half hour applying it.I put extra in the foot areas and I still have some left from a gallon.I also did not thin it out with Zylene but ony because I forgot.

Edit: Your build looks sweet.
I love Scramblers

Sorry guys for not updating. Not much to tell. Is the economy on the upswing? I worked 72 hrs. last week. Probably cant judge the economy by petfood sales though. :D Doesnt look like I'll get much done this week due to prepping for vacation and work. Promise I'll get back after that though. :)

Got the last patch panel welded in. She'll be going to get inspected while Im on vacation. I think I found the guy who I'll use for all my welding. I sold him some springs last year on our local club board. He brought his portable welder over and did a nice job on my driver side rocker. I'll post pics when I can. 3 am comes early.

I'm glad I live in Ohio, none of that inspection :dung:

The 8's starting to look good :chug:

Thanx. Where I lived in Az. there was no inspection either. Youd see some crazy :dung: once in awhile. Doors missing on vehicles that shouldnt be doorless and quite a few "lifts". Same as anything else most people were sane , but there were people who took it to the next level. Registering a vehicle was the pits if it was new. The newer the vehicle the more it was. We bought a 4 door Saturn out there in like 96. $380 or so to register it a year. Cjs were cheap. Here everything is like $40 IIRC.
I'm glad I live in Ohio, none of that inspection :dung:

Doesnt look like much but 90% of the "shine" is knocked off. Tommorow is supposed to be clear and sunny. Two coats of her during the day after some more sanding and then a good cleaning up with this.

Your 8's looking good Pete! Keep up the good work!!:chug:

Thanx guys. The rain held of indeed. To bad when I took the dog for a walk and run I ran also. Pulled a muscle in my leg and got no more accomplished. :( This must be natures way of reminding me the big 40 is coming at the end of the year. Hopefully I can get it done after work the next 2 days.
