Late 86 CJ7 Stock with a Dana 44.
YJ tub.
Still building it.
I'm back again with a new mystery part.
In my build Jeep (86 CJ7 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l I6 & I removed the AC) I have this plug under my dash.

In a parts jeep I have (4 cylinder) the same plug attaches to this

Does anyone know what this part is and can my Jeep run without it if I can't find it?
Can I use the one from a 4 cylinder?

Thanks again!

That plug goes to the computer that adjusts the carburator if your jeep is still set up that way. Most people have discontinued it. If you live in a state that has emisions control, You will need it. Otherwise it's not needed.

Thanks for your help.

Are you talking about the "nutter bypass"?
