Stop already...... you guys are gonna cost me more money!!! Let's talk about something I won't want - like plastic eyelashes around the headlights, or a makeup mirror on the visor......

NO no, eye lashes are for girls. Real men put eye brows over the headlights. Make sure to tilt them down in the center to make your CJ look mean.

A grumpy unibrow........ nice!

That is reserved for the JK. The Angry Eyes grills are popular on the JKs in my area.

That's the trend here as well, also blacking out the upper inside of the headlight to further the "mean" look. Thankfully I haven't anyone defile their CJ yet, but I do live in the land of Fruits and Nuts, so its only a matter of time

I also strongly recommend adding separate positive and ground blocks on your firewall. Makes adding ANYTHING so much easier and insures good current.

That sounds like a good idea. Do you have a link to a tutorial or pictures?

I just used some Fastronix blocks from Amazon. I put a positive and a negative on firewall and a negative in the back. Direct wired the negative to the battery. The positive is off the ignition wire. On 76-77s the ignition wire is charged even during starting. 78+ I think goes dark until engine starts. Check your setup.

Can you show a pic of what the LED headlight looks like with the lights off? Which one did you go with?

forgot to mention there is one downside (other than looks if one doesn't like them). since they are led they don't really produce heat, so if you are driving in snow they can ice over much easier than halogens. they salt here just about anytime we get snow so it's not a concern for me.

Thanks. I understand the icing over issue. I have heard that trucklites have a version that have heating elements to prevent that.

I want to replace my old sealed beam system with an H4 setup. Anyone have any experience with these? What harness will I need for this headlight kit?

RT Off-Road Halogen Lamp Conversion Kit, 7" Round, H4 55/60W Bulbs Part #RT28006

Thanks!

I’m building a CJ5 for a friend... he is soooo getting plastic eyelashes! Thank you!
I can get several sets, each time he peels them off I can sneak by his house at night & put them back on! Unless he purposely checks, he won’t see them getting in.
We briefly discussed painting it pink, but I just couldn’t do that to a CJ. Besides I think “BARBIE” is taken for the license plate.

I can’t take this! Give me a few minutes and check the classified section for headlight relay kits.
