Engine Newbie here with some Carb/Vacuum problems with video
Hey all!
I just joined to hopefully learn and share my experiences working on my old Jeep and getting it to modest restore!
1976 CJ7 with a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and Carter YF. The Jeep is in very good condition, I’ll share pics soon enough. I did try to search for my specific issue but couldn’t find anything that might help me. Again, I’m new at this and while I have a basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and I’m not afraid to turn a wrench, some of this stuff is just Chinese to me.
I’ve made a video, I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out these vacuum lines.
Some context: motor idles decent and even revs up nicely with some backfires from carb. Wants to die under quick throttle.
I’ve replaced several parts and have gotten it to run considerably better but issues still persist.
