I am always amazed when I bring a new project home to see some of the P.O.s attempts at repairs/ modifications. The first thing I always do is search these out and get rid of them.
For some reason this Jeep is ultra grounded. Here's one where he used an old extension cord and had it wrapped around a battery tray bolt. It didn't go anywhere so I don't know what it was supposed to do.
Here's more quality electrical work. He used a wire cap to splice this. I am not sure why:
The choke tube is missing so the choke is wired off. I'll need to fix that.
I said before this Jeep is grounded like crazy. Here he used a tailgate cable from the head to the brake master cylinder. Since you usually buy those in pairs there is another one from the alternator mount to the frame.
Why, oh why would you use a torch to cut a giant hole for an antenna? For pete's sake. There's a matching hole on the other side.
A quick fix to a broken radiator overflow tank. I am not sure if this is the correct tank.
Gotta have speakers. There's a matching hole on the other side.
There's also a rear bumper that looks like it was welded to the frame and a rats nest of wiring.
Wish me luck.
