Why cant I find the right size check valve for an 83 CJ power booster. The end that goes into the booster is around 3/4 while the only ones I can find are 1/2. No one seems to have the larger size, anyone have any ideas?

hate to suggest this but it may be time for a booster upgrade. I do not think the booster itself, let alone the check valve, is even manufactured anymore. :(

IO, I considered that but I am currently in denial about that option. Maybe someone has one laying around in a junk pile, if not then upgrade time.

OK now that I have said that. is the hole it fits in 3/4" and does it look something like this?:D

If so PM me and we will talk about it further.

Is your valve 3/4 with or without the grommet? Mine is 3/4 without.

Did you get another Jeep? I'm starting to think I missed something.

the hole in the face of the booster is 3/4".

3/4 hole . 1/2 on the check valve

Orielys had the right grommet don't remember the part number but it was in the dorman help section?

I was also there to get a fuel tank sending unit lock ring for a Chevy. Get this they only sell them in a variety pack 1 large gm 1 small gm and 1 ford?????

You know just in case.

Btw grommets also come in a variety pack.

The black one 3/4 is what I need to replace, the gray one is a 1/2.

I dont think I've ever seen one like that.

I've got he 1/2 inch one it was in it when I got it but the grommet was torn so I found a new grommet it works fine.

I know, that the first one like that I have seen. The hole in the booster is over an inch.

Ok, your friend is lucky to have you helping with his Jeep.
