No altitude limit but they arent designed for Wyoming so you can send that to me with the head. :D

Somewhere I missed that they won't work in wyoming looks like I better find another T-5 .

I just happen to have one for you. :D

nice find , my 83 had the hood insulation and light and my jack was still there , I cleaned and painted the jack and put it back,

my 80 came with the jack and lug wrench, but no hood light. :(
It probaly doesn't light up spit, but would still be cool to have, just to run the battery down of course.

I plan to do the same. Your '83 wasnt a Limited was it? The hood insulation really threw me. From what I understand the Limited had all sorts of sound dampening on it as well. The carpeting has some really thick jute backing on it .

With a 1157 bulb in it it'll probably light the master cylinder and thats about it. :D Mine isnt working yet.

Saw an original 85 Renegade last night that had an underhood light and insulation.

mine is an 84 CJ7 Laredo package I called it 83 previously but its an 84 , it originally didnt have the hard top or it may have come with the door switch but the top and hard doors were added later so no switch , my carpet was thick and glued down but I removed it and used a spray in liner in the tub and on the bottom of hood so no more insulation

I'm subscribed, Pete! Glad to see you finally settled on a new Jeep! What a great find too, I had no idea they made them so luxurious! LOL! I mean, an under hood light?? WOW! :D

It is all fancy shmancy from the factory . :D

Just not so much right now. I thought Id be starting the disassembly rather quick but its gonna spend a little time as a drivers education vehicle. Vicki is gonna take a stab at learning a manual. How this turns out...

You might as well pick up a spare clutch or 2.

This one is a little tougher to get in gear at times. Hows the saying go? That that doesnt kill you only makes you stronger.

:oops:And maybe that T-18 you've been dreaming about...:D

Any news on the other cj?

The one that was here in town never happened after repeated attempts. Ive still been looking for an automatic mainly. Right now Im trying to work something out with one I found in Pittsburgh. Im still waiting for more pics on it before we'd rent a car to drive out there.

I missed this at first. I have been dreaming T-18 for quite a long time.Since Im doing a resto mod and not a full restoration I think I should go that route instead of rebuilding the T-176 . ;)

Update on the one pictured above. Apparently its covered in snow at this point and the guy Im talking with isnt capable of digging it out for pics of the engine and such right now. He did pull the ad for me like he said. Hopefully I dont have to wait till Spring.

My next full weekend off is Feb 16th and 17th. That should be when I pick it up (fingers crossed ). That will also open things up for me to finally start tearing into the Limited . If I dont have another one by the end of Feb I'll have to use the Limited to go back and forth to work due to the guy I ride with retiring.

Hey Tarry :censored:!

:D

heyPete you have my sympathy. I was born up in central Pa and lived there till I was 14. While it isn't sunny and 68 here Tn, it's a balmy 29. :D

Its all good. I was on the other side of the fence when I lived in AZ. It is what it is. I really like a granny geared manual Transmission like what I think is in this one. Vicki is none to happy that I bid on it though. :(
