I know what you mean...it can be a hand full, and she's only just one baby!!!!

Both of you guys hang on to your Cjs. Ive been down that road of selling off my toys when my daughters were born. Youll regret it for years.

I had a 68 Pontiac Tempest that was pretty darn near a GTO clone when my first daughter was born. I bought it when I was 17. I towed it to AZ. when I moved there at 21. I had it pretty close to where I wanted it finally when I was 28. Sold it a few months later when my first daughter was born. Love her to death but miss that car. :(

Bought a 1980 Z-28 while I was out there to try and fill the hole in my heart. It was a sweet clean Camaro a little low on the H.P. side though. Brought it back to Pa. when we moved. Sold it a little while after daughter # 2 was born. Love her to death as well. Miss that car also.

my thought process was to have this jeep running and teach my daughter about maintance and be able to work on it...should be easy enough, being that i would have touched every part on it...then she would be able to respect taking care of cars...

just a side note and i'll stop hi jacking this thread

with starting this new jeep project i have found a new area in my life that i now love...i want to restore/work on older cars...my next one i want is a CJ8 scambler, and a 70 dodge charger R/T. :D we'll see how that goes.

No need to worry about a hijack. :) Especially when you mention a Scrambler. My girls are 16 and 14 now. Once their both out of school my plans are to transfer to a manufacturing plant we have in King William Va.
That is when I'll start looking for a Scrambler.

any connections on a charger???:D:D:D:D can't get over the front end:drool::drool::drool::drool:

I havent delved into muscle cars for the last 14 years. My sister actually had a Charger back then. It was a Gunmetal Gray Fastback.

Mmmmmm

It was alot darker than this one but itll do. I never liked the length of it for a fast back model.

I had a '68 Charger 383, 727 with a 8 3/4 rear factory air buckets with console Racing Green Met. for 17 years brought four kids home from the hosp with it I was the 3rd owner. 20yrs ago I wanted a 4x4 and sold it for $2500 :bang::bang::bang:

I'm thinking of test driving a new challenger with the hemi. Just to get a feel, I know it's not close but still cool.

Im gonna put it to you this way, the wife knows to dig a hole big enough for me and the jeep should anything "unfortunate" happen me. Hijack over...

I have actually been able to hold on to my Charger for darn near 20 years... It's a 1970, and was originally a 383 4-speed car, only 211 built with that driveline, but unfortunately have never had the original motor, and also, unfortunately, I haven't had the time to restore it, yet.. It now has a 440 6-pack, but I haven't driven it in nearly 15 yrs, but at least I still have it...

Alright you guys have Car(ed) up my thread enough. :D

Unfortunately the snowstorm we got here in Pa. screwed up all the plans to pick up the SM465. Schedule conflicts have put us all the way to next Saturday. :( I do have some good news out of it though. Vicki was talking with him due to me working thru the weekend.

He said he has parts on "piles" for 70s and 80s Cjs hes willing to let go cheap to clean up around his place. She didnt ask what parts and all Im gonna do is salivate till then.

I think your gonna need a bigger truck. ;)
cause then you can supply all your buddies.

:D:Di'd come up and see if they'd be willing to sell a couple? niedhogg, let me know if that charger needs a home, i'd want to put the "six pack" on it when its done.:D:D
