Proportioning valve leaking again
Not sure if this is the right forum for brake questions, but my replacement proportioning valve now leaking quite badly. 1979 CJ7 with disc/drum brakes and it's draining, at least more quickly, the rear reservoir in the master cylinder.
I see a lot of posts related to ongoing issues with these proportioning valves. The one I purchased is https://www.morris4x4center.com/disc-drum-proportioning-valve-aluminum-mbm-pv2a.html.
My question is two-fold. Is there a better aftermarket valve that won't leak or at least has a better track record? Two, since it's a huge pain to get to the valve at the frame mounted location, can it be mounted near the master cylinder when I replace this next time assuming it's the valve and not just a fitting?
Thanks.
