Quick wheel question

I'm trying to understand back spacing for my upcoming wheel purchase. I'm looking at a 3 3/4 inch backspace 16x10. Does it stick out more with 4 inch backspace or less.

A wheel with less back spacing (such as the one on the left) will stick out more.

The back spacing is measured from the rear edge of the rim to the mounting surface. So if you have 2 rims with the same back spacing but one is wider then the wide one will stick out more

I think im at 3 3/4 now and am happy, so i guess ill stick with that backspacing. Thanks for diagram busa!

Yes, it's measured from the inner edges where the bead seats.
