What is the most cost effective way to get rear locking hubs on my CJ7 ?
I have seen many rigs with them over the years but none lately. ...Thanks

That would be a full float conversion for the corp 20. Not cheap, but they have their advantages.

Warn made a full float axle conversion for the AMC as well as others but have discontinued production, they can still be found used with patience though.
I have this setup in my CJ and for my flat towing works nicely, with lockouts on all 4 wheels you turn your Jeep into a trailer and go.
You will need to search far and wide for this if that's what you want but they can be found, My local CL had a complete axle AMC20 WT with Warn full float for $350 a while back.

There are warn kits still out there but basically is a spindle and hub setup like the Dana 30 with a axle shaft with splines on both ends.

The Warn P/N is 36333 for the AMC20 .

Both Warn and Summers Brothers used to make full floating kits for the AMC20 but they are out of production.

73CJ gave the Warn part number for the '82 to '86 AMC axle. Since you have an '80 CJ you will want Warn part number 37111.
I found this kit: Autoplicity.com. Warn FULL FLOAT AXLE,76-82 AMC - 37111
Call them but to see if they really have any.

Here is another site that claims to have them.

Busa is correct. I never did care for the AMC20 . They always are causing problems.

Not sure why the AMC20 uses a different kit. The replacement stock parts are the same from 76 to 86???

Even the brake parts?
I think the difference is how the full floating hub mounts to the axle. I think changes in the brake mounting caused changes in the full floating kits.
