Chems in the 'high-mileage' oil will swell seals some.
The reason you see the oil where it is-Is because that's a low point, and it gets blown back there also.
You should try some 15W-40 Rotella.
Also-clean your PVC valve. Plugged/dirty PCV can cause the block to build positive PSI.
