so far I have pulled and rebuilt the tranny and Transfer Case from the CJ5 but have yet to put them back in. have cleaned 40 something years of grime from them as well as the bellhousing and have even painted the belhousing to match the body and starter. On a side note the reason for the rebuild was due to when I drained the fluids from them the first few seconds were pretty much pure water and the rest was a gray muck of a mess!. all gears looked almost new so seals and gaskets were used after a good cleaning. after I get this finished the axles are next. But with our daughters music every little bit of time I get to work on the jeep is Limited and I try to make the best of it. Well there is my update!.
