77 CJ 7, 258 i6, 3 speed
I want to take the dash pad off my 77 CJ7 . I removed the 4 screws on the lower edge of the pad, but it would not budge. Do I need to fold the windshield down to get this thing off?

i have the same year jeep and did u check on top theres i think 4 or more screws up on top you dont need to touch the windshield
 
Yes, lower the windshield. There, in the area that was clamped down under the windshield you will find more screws.
 
x2 on folding the windshield down. Took mine off a couple of weeks ago to paint. It turned out great.
 
I have an 85, and I know there are screws on the top and the windshield will need to be lowered. Like I said, mine's and '85.
