removing trans from transfer case

This is my problem. The Transfer Case and Transmission are out of the 66 CJ5 Dauntless Buick 225 V6 . I want to remove the transmisson from transfertransfer case. I removed the bolts but the trans won't come out. Iv pulled, twisted to no end. It came out a little. I don't want to force it I case there maybe some Kmd of retainer in there. The Overdrive is still atteched to transfer case. Do I. Just pry tell it come off or have I missed a step? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

You "must" remove the Overdrive to separate the Transmission and Transfer Case .
