Picked up some rocker trim. I’m familiar with the spacing of the T bolts on the panel, but am wondering exactly how far up from bottom of rocker to drill them out? I think it’s 1/2 inch, but not sure if that’s 1/2 up centered or 1/2 from bottom of hole drilled out?

Hey Trpval, welcome. Not to toss any water on your campfire flames, I was wondering what shape your tub body is in ? The rocker trim looks nice when on a Jeep. I just couldn’t drill a bunch of holes in my body to start future rust problems. I just know how rust starts and gets going. I’d love to see some before and after pictures.

I understand your concerns, as I have the same. Tub/panel is in almost new condition. As far as drilling new holes, as long as you seal/protect the openings I don’t see a problem. There are plenty of other holes in the tub.

Thanks. That spacing doesn’t leave much room underneath the drilled out holes.
Hence why I'm not a fan of them. These are routinely sources of rust starting to form, and without much room before it spreads to the edges, which makes it worse. I understand why some people want them when doing a proper restoration or trying to upgrade the look of a regular CJ to a higher trim level. No criticism here, just not my cup of tea. Good luck with the install.
