Ok guys. I pulled my speedo gear thinking that was why my speedo wasn't working but the gear looks fine. I just did the drill test on the cable to make sure that was ok and it worked great. I don't see what the problem could be. I'm not as experienced as most of you guys so hoping someone can help me out

It could be the square drive on the nylon speedo gear in the Transfer Case is stripped out or it could go beyound that. Better pull it out for inspection.

Oops, will just exit the way I came in. Saw "Speedo" and had an altogether different image in my head. Gears, huh...

Well I don't think it's on the Transfer Case side. I could be wrong though. I put everything back together and pulled the cable off the speedo and the cables spinning. Seems kinda slow. Maybe that's the problem? Or the speedo it's self?

Ok I got the problem solved. If I tighten the speedo cable to the speedo all the way it won't work. I just threaded it half way on and it works fine now

Shorten the cable to allow full fitment.

So just cut the square cable it's self? I figured that's what needed to be done

What I did when I replaced the cable that was a bit long--
Measure twice-Cut once.

Thanks for the help. It'll be nice to have a working speedo
