Stock radiator core

Is the stock AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l rad a 2 core or 3 core? It's a 1984 by the way.

The oem radiator for the later model CJs w/AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l was a two row.

If you are thinking about replacing one, I just got,what I think, is a pretty good deal on a 3 row with a 1.88" thick core. that is thick, for $180 at auto zone of all places. part # cu583 from Spectra premium. the B583 is a two row.

Thanks guys! Is that 3 core from Autozone an OEM fitment? Will 3 core be a lot better than 2?

bolts right in, no muss no fuss and extra cooling capacity and cooling fins are always a good idea!

Done! I guess I might as well replace the water pump as well since I am in there. And, if i am going to do that, i might as well replace the alternator to.
