T-14 Rebuild

Hi,
Can anyone help me with a link or info on where to get detailed rebuild info on a 1972 T-14 . The synchro for 1st to 2nd is shot and I'm gonna rebuild the Transmission .

ordered kit from novak to rebuild my T-14 3spd. instructions are not very good in my opinion. instructions speak of obsolete tools and aren't very novice friendly. I have yet to find a good youtube video or website with good detailed instructions for building the T14. just completed my Dana 18 Tcase. found good instructions with pics on willystech.com. assembled the T14 per Novaks instructions and something was wrong (i'm sure it was my fault). I believe their instructions are from the OOOLD service manuals. they say you can find a youtube video for everything, Not true.

How odd! You've found an OLD service manual for and OLD Transmission . For my money the old service manual is far better than the alternative. By any chance is the "old" tool the bearing puller? That's about the only specialty item I can think of that you might need. Related be nit exactly the same. Rob from Willys Works and I rebuilt my T-15 and found that the NEW gears from Omix did not work. With Robs help there was no question bout the quality of the rebuild. He got the representative on the phone, replaced the gears and they weren't any better. We ended up digging in his used gear stash, finding the best one. The transmission works wonderfully now. So, it might NOT be your OLD manual, it just might be your NEW parts.
