Got the master rebuild kit from Novak 4 days from the states to Australia :)
But it was missing parts from the kit :( and no tranfer kit at all so I'm going to pull it all down on Wednesday this week and soak it in molasses and water bath for a week or so

molasses and water bath?? new one on me.

:)

I've seen worst...........take it all apart & clean a sort every part. No reason to even attempt to run or flush something like that with all that garbage inside and add further damage to your Transmission ...............The rust on the gears will wire wheel off...........You'll need some good sticky assembly lube to keep the needles in place during assembly like this in the picture.............put it in the freezer over night to get it real sticky...........Good Luck!

Got her all pulled down and most of it was in good shape but main shaft and input aren't looking good
:)

What did the needle bearings look like? or were they gone?

How rough is the shaft? Hard to tell in your photo's.........get it cleaned up & take some better pictures...........What about the Counter shaft have you pulled it out yet and looked at those bearings?

This is a common problem when dirt/ water gets into a Transmission ......the lubricating value of water is "ZERO" that's why I suggested to just "STOP" and pull it apart.

That looks like an old T-18 with the external reverse fork outside the case. The later version is inside with 3 forks inside the top cover..........

Important: Where did this tranny come from? And was this attached to a Dana 18 already using an adapter? Need to get as many part numbers off the case as possible in order to find replacement parts.

The input and the main shaft look toast............you should also pull the counter shaft and see what those needle bearings look like...........let me know if your going to fix it as there is still a fairly good USA supply chain for some of these parts.
