Since the rain finished up last night, today was hard top install day. Got the soft top and hardware off, removed the front windshield bars and security box - now it really looks like a CJ
Put new foam around the bottom edge, new rubber in the corners and along the top edge of the windshield - that made it wanna sit about a foot too tall. Ok, maybe not a foot - but it seemed like it. Got the doors adjusted to fit in the door hole, since that would be helpful. Reattached the rear lift (window / gate / hatch), reinstalled the outer door handles. Still have the inner panels and window cranks to go. Was gonna take a couple pics but by this time I had gotten darker all over
Not thrilled with the black doors, but I can deal with em till spring.
Took it for a short drive to see how it sounded with a hard top - this was my first ever time driving a CJ with a herd top. I kinda liked it...... then realized I didn’t have any mirrors . Gotta scrounge some CJ mirrors up..
