YJ softtop hardware sure looks different than mid 80s CJ softtop hardware looks like to me. I'm thinking I like mine. :). I'm sure earlier CJ hardware is different also

I don’t remember did you do a tub swap? I thought it already had the YJ tub when you got it

The channels are from a YJ - and I have the older style side channels as well. I've been collecting Wrangler soft top hardware so when it's time for a new top, I can just get the Quadratec replacement skin...... it's just a shade over 300 bucks. The small piece I was in letting for is from the old fastback top - CJ stuff.

It did - but it had the fastback top on it when I bought it, and a hardtop to go with. I've been scrounging channel pieces s I can convert the soft top from snaps to channel. Bout ready to start cutting :chug:

Had the alternator tested today - she be bad an stuff. Since I have two old ones, one will be turned in for the core charge on the new one tomorrow, and I just might take the other to a local alternator shop, and have em rebuild it and bump the output a bit.....

Yeah - I gotta stick those exhaust gaskets behind the headers.....

Hey - check this video out - I stuck it on YouTube a couple years ago. First attempt at adding a soundtrack to a video. Also, first weekend flying a nice quadcopter carrying a GoPro

Actually, the hi heat paint I hit the headers with had been partially baked in the grill. Once it was running, the headers were slightly smoking. That video was me wondering just where the heck the smoke was coming from......

Took my alternator out and had it tested yesterday. Didn't want to replace it, but didn't want the charging issues to be from where I Freddy Kruger'ed the engine wiring harness either. Ran the test and it was a big fat FAIL. New one came in today, and is a very nice looking reman. So nice, I degreaser it, and hit it with a couple coats of clear engine paint.
