Things that make a CJ a CJ...

Things that make a CJ a CJ...
A CJ is the perfect example of K.I.S.S.
Keep it simple stupid

And like "the man" said in BraveHeart, FREEDOM!!

Sorry corrected it.

should read the real history of William Wallace, Mel Gibson said it, Walace never did.

Constantly working on it, using the brakes and the gas at the same time to keep the engine from dying during idle, pouring money into it to keep it moving, and suffering through my friends making fun of it is still worth it to drive one of the best vehicles ever made. Driving topples, playing some good tunes, that weekend adventure, and all the questions about it from JK owners make it all worthwhile.

You can disassemble more than half the vehicle with a 7/16 wrench

The Smell of bacon frying in pan. The sound of a Dauntless Buick 225 V6 V6 laboring in a choked idle as it slowly wakes up and warms in the mountain morning chill. The site of a pine fires smoke drifting past directing you to a heat to warm the hands to. Warm words of greeting as friends climb from dew moistened tents searching for a hot cup of coffee. Murmers of the days adventure ahead. You stretch again feeling the warmth of the first rays of the mornings sun bath your face from around the trees. Thinking of the day, the trail, and the miles of the day you put your hand on a friends back as you hand him a cup of coffee, black and hot, freshly poured from a coffee pot blackened from countless fires. You turn and look at your stead again. A thousand memories flash into the mind, the day you found her sitting under a blanket of rust, hours of breaking knuckles wrenching on her till she was the pride of the club. Her paint is now fading and she labors in the morning but she has never left you cold. Always willing and always getting you home she has served faithfully all the years since that first day. You guess it is time to start again on a build, but that will be this winter. Until then there will be trails and roads to explore. She will be new once again, she is part of the family. She is your mistress, she is your CJ.
