timing question

does anyone know what the timing on a 1979 inline 6, 2 barrel weber carb with a comp cam, should be??

Initial advance should be 4-8 deg advanced.... with a target of 6. Go too far and will not start well and could rattle too...

Having a non stock cam will also affect your set up and time curve...

whatcha find out...just did a rebuild and put in a comp cam....seems for a good idle i had to set mine near16ish at idle for a good idle? thought maybe cause of the cam...was gonna contact comp

once you change cams your kinda on your own with timing depending on how big a cam you go with. Chances are you will end up with more than stock though. Just be sure you don't get any pinging under load.
