ON THE HUNT AGAIN
Who's the man? It's rebuild time and need some info.
I got a '79 CJ5 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l , currently a worn T-150 and a Dana 20 .
Rebuild the T-150 ?
Swap in a T-18 for lower gearing and an extra gear?

If rebuilding the T-150 , what resource to use? Parts list?
The clutch is slipping and the PO had a water oil mix when I bought it.
So besides a clutch, diaphragm, pilot bushing and throw out bearing, what else?

The T-18 where do I begin, lol?

I just went through the same questions. I had rebuilt my old Transmission so many times and it was in such bad shape I bought a T-18 .

I just ordered a Master rebuild kit for my 20 today from Novak. Parts for the Jeep & IH Dana 20 Transfer Cases

Novak has a master kit for your Transmission here -->> Parts for the Jeep T150 Transmission and I believe they have all the gears and other bits and pieces you might also need too.

It's a tough choice, depends on the time and money you want to invest.

I don't have all the answers but I can sure try and help! :)

When I get around to it, I will be swapping the T-150 in mine for a T-18 . No point in putting $$ into a tranny that can easily upgraded to near bulletproof with no loss of driveablity.
