1986 jeep cj7 with a 258 4.2 bored 30 over. 4 inch suspension lift and 1 inch body lift. When completely done it will be camo wrapped and have bumpers,winch,33s or 35s,a double outlet header and performance carbeurator.
I have an 86 jeep CJ7 with an automatic a999 Transmission . I think the Transmission is overheating. I can drive it but after 30-40 minutes Transmission fluid will start pouring out. What could the problem be exactly?

Need more info,
Smell & color of ATF?
When last serviced?
Condition of cooler/radiator?
Condition of lines?

The fluid smells and looks fine. The lines are new and so is the radiator but when I took the lines loose from the radiator no fluid came out but I blew some air through the radiator to make sure it's not stopped up and it isn't.

Remove lines at Transmission and blow, may be plugged. If not do a flush & filter, some things plugged. If that does not work, a R&R w/overhaul is in the cards.
