Do I have time to get the timing light and adjust dizzy and carb before cam break in? Or do I just get it started and keep it between 2-2500 rpm for 25-30 minutes(comp cam video)

IMO, I would time it, ypu don't want it way out of time for 30 min.
As for the carb. I wouldn't worry as you will be off the idle circet anyway.

Ran good till the oil started leaking. Bump in the road

when i did mine i got it started, my cam was 6 degrees..easy enough to eyeball...I just dropped the same carb on so when running i used the idle screw and my DVOM as rpm gauge...and just went up/down between recommended rpms for the 30 min....it started to melt the exhaust hose in the shop by the end:D

It just seems extreme, that motor will be hot as hell. I'm putting a big fan on the radiator next time

2500 rpm for 30 min. not moving inside a shop! yeah it gets hot. but the gauge wasnt reading hot, just the tailpipe!
