Broke my rear axle. Had turn it into a front wheel drive to get it home. Just a good excuse for an upgrade, right? ;)

Fired it up for the first time since I started the build in 08 oh what a good feeling it was to hear a propane ran engine with open headers and a cam fire up for the first time since being built

nothing like hearing a motor breathing to life for the first time. :chug:

spent the last two days cutting out the body cancer and welding in new metal.

Yesterday I took her out on her maiden voyage. Today I'll wax her up. Tomorrow she goes to a friends shop to have a thorough going over and tune up. So far, so good. Love this little Jeep. :)

Solved one problem, bad solenoid now on to more electrical.

Better than a god day at work.

Maybe in a few weeks I can take it out and play!!!!!!!!

I now have 4 wheel power disk brakes and they actually stop the Jeep. I am impressed!!:D

Got an email from a local PD about getting the title for mine.

Seems it was impounded by the department and sold at auction. The buyer never titled it into their name and the PD has no record of selling the vehicle, even though the BMV lists them as the owner.

I'm waiting on a letter from the PD (legal owner) stating they have no claims or liens against the vehicle.

Well the last couple of days I have been busy doing projects on the CJ. Redone the topper with new tint , mounted speakers in factory storage box , and picked up a pair of rust free hard doors. Let the new project begin.

Fixed the rest of my electrical problems and heard it purrrr for the first time. Ahh so sweet! Had a weak ground to engine wire.

Cleaned up some toasted wires so all in all saved myself a few hundred on a new harness. Not a bad days work.

:chug:

Once I thought I was wrong but I must have been mistaken!!!

Put the intake and header on. I thought i was going to have fitment with the borla header but i had none what so ever, it fit like a glove and had no clearence issues.

Altered my strapless bikini top and put it on for the summer. I think it was made for a CJ7 . It never fit quite right and keep blowing off while driving down the highway. You know how embarrassing that is to loose you top at 65mph?

Yep pretty darn embarrassing. LOL

Jim

At first you don't succeed, Keep trying till you break it.

it was 87 here today and i'm thinking it's bikini time. it gets hot sitting in the sun doing fence work.
But it cooled nicely when I ran into town with the wife for a nice cold milkshake. :D

Fixed the shifter,so that i can actually launch in first gear at the track saturday night. The bracket on the Transmission moved,so the shifter was in 1st and the Transmission was in 2nd.Aired the swampers down more and filled the gas tank.Hoping to break into the 4 second time zone this weekend for the first time in the jeep. There are videos under Bandit Mud Racing April 6th on Youtube of me racing in April. Finished 2nd in two of the classes, that i entered, and had the fastest street legal pass of the night in the mud pit. Broke the steering and the alternator quit,so i didn't get to race on May 4th.

Nothing. Dad has it while i work on his car and replace the cv boot.
