What did you do to or with your CJ today?
No I didn't, haven't been on this board much but I'll look into that. Thanks

It's on trail and trip reports, trip planning.

I drove it 30 miles north to a buddy's place and used the CJ 4wd to tamp down (I don't know how many cubic yards of) gravel in prep for a shed we'll be building. He hasn't shared too much of the design with me - he's like that sometimes - but if the county tells him to move it further from the property line, he'll be dragging it across the gravel to a suitable distance with a 1 ton diesel pickup.... but he swears the truck is not a sled puller 😇

The old turbo muffler didn't fare well after last week's adventure so I threw on a thrush welded muffler I had laying around.

Today I drove my CJ to the hardware store to pick up a 3/8ths x "Toilet" (whatever "toilet" thread description is... not quite anything NPI, but whatever) flexible supply line for the basement toilet, which blew out the in-tank fill valve after wearing it out over the course of a decade.

I replaced the valve, but the ridged supply line did not enjoy my torquing it around and decided to spill clean water all over the bathroom floor.

The cashier liked my CJ, which was visible from the checkout line.

Re-sealing up my windshield and sealing the screws and edge of the cabin air intake cowl. Gotta find that pesky leak.

Plumbed up regulator then decided to order an inline fuel pressure gauge. It'll be here Friday. You can't see it but it has a return line too off the back/bottom.

Yesterday my (36 year old?) master cylinder hemorrhaged all over the firewall and steering shaft; and yes, it was very, very exciting. Thankfully I wasn't going down a steep incline and thankfully I was on a fairly level surface street, about a block from home.

Today I put in a new master cylinder and it seems I did bleed everything properly :)

Well I plumbed up the tank temporarily (still on floor jack) and ran some jumpers for the fuel gauge and fired it up for the first time with the electric fuel pump. Ran fine.

Such a sweet feeling, huh? Glad to hear it! Hung over? :D

Yeah I'm pleased. Much left to do though. It's been fun.

Got my tank rewired and re-hung etc. Did some initial carb settings with Posi's help. Letting it cool now to find the REAL TDC and then set the timing as best I can.

Rolled up the top sides and took off the doors then took the family out to eat and then the obligatory ice cream...

Am very glad you came away from that able to photograph and post about it!

With the oil on the cable. That looks like a pinion seal leak(sling'n oil).
Is the vent hose plugged? Is there any slop/play in the pinion yoke?
Was the diff just serviced?
