Took the broken bumper off. Gonna get it welded on Wednesday before the Jeep heads to TN for a few days of wheeling at Windrock.

HA - The last thing I'd do is judge someone else's welding

But that'll work.....

Hoghead helped me prep and spray raptor liner on the inside of my tub. Next is the outside!

If money is an issue...hit the pawn shops for a small MIG.

I love a MIG..... but I should have saved up and bought a bigger one.... does what I need but a little extra juice never hurts....

The raptor looks good! I also plan on lining the interior, and have been waffling back and forth as to which to spray first - color or liner. I had settled on color first, then liner....... but now I'm wondering what made you go liner first........

I've been looking on Craigslist for a higher powered mig. I plan to buy either the genright or poison spider customs family style roll cages and want to weld it myself. I think I'll need a 180 or higher to get enough penetration.

I was originally going to wrap the black raptor over the edge of my tub like Mdeluca mentioned. I was a little worried about having bleed over because I am painting colored raptor on the outside. Wrapping the black over the tub would look awesome!

I also did the inside first because my spray booth (garage) is only 2 car and I was worried about black over spray on my outside color. The raptor has really been pretty easy. If you have any questions let me know!

Wheel, Kayak, and camped over the weekend.

No, I wouldn't use MMO for sizing brass. Why? It is a very thin penetrating type product, I.E. it will get in places you don't want it to be. Primers HATE any type of petroleum product. Also for sizing you need a heavy lube that stays between the brass and the die. Yes, there are dry lubes, those use a dry lubricant (yeah, I know, obviously).

With that being said, I suppose if you tumble the heck out of your brass after sizing, it would work. I am not much for shinny brass, I like to tumble brass until it is clean, but not necessarily perfectly shinny.

The mystery may not be a mystery at all ... I don't care, it will always hold a magical quality.

I have always used a Little bit a turtle wax in the tumbler and I've never needed to use sizing oil or spray.

Carbide dies will also do the trick

Hmmm - I'm gonna hafta try the Turtle Wax..... And I size way more rifle brass than pistol, so that pretty much knocks the carbide outta the ring..

What do you use for media? I run my rounds through a sonic, then tumble dry with turtle wax. Lizard bedding for media.

I usually just use corn cob...... you just add the turtle wax to the media?

Found oil leak amazing how that fluid travels! It was all over the bell housing, Transmission , tc, drive shaft, oh and the floor. While it was running and I was just checking things out when I saw the distributer move? That's when I saw oil dribbling out of the base shut it down and pulled it the base was missing a chunk and had another piece just laying there under the hold down! Just a half gasket I'm thinking the po over tightened it to stop the leak only making it worse... Well no cj ride for the last day of school for my daughter this time

My '84 has been sitting for about 3 yrs in front of my camper. I'm giving my camper to a ex neighbor who is coming to get it tomorrow so I put some gas in the CJ and started it up for the first time in over 3yrs and moved it out of the way. I think I need to get her back on the road it was nice to hear her come back to life. I have had a lot of good times in that Jeep.

I'm winning today

Internal bronze bushing was really annoying me
But lathe peice of 1 inch mild steel round bar grinder and drill bits .. and 2 hours later I had the most ugliest looking bushing puller ever ... some tcl with a ballpien hammer and brass bar and I drove the little @*!#! Out of its hole ... score

More camping and wheeling this weekend.
