What did you get? Curious as this is on my back burner but need done list. Tired of the steel...

100ft of warn synthetic rope and a warn fairlead for the synthetic rope (can’t remember if that is the right name). Both were given to me by a friend who never i stalled them before selling his Jeep.

Just ordered a Bluetooth amp and a few connectors to finally get to use the speakers in the doors. Now to fab up a couple boxes for the other speakers......

Sent from my desk at work...... again. This work stuff is starting to take up a good bit of time LOL

I just bought my first CJ7 last night. Today I've changed the oil so far. When the wife gets home, I'll be replacing plugs and wires, air/fuel filter, crankcase breather hose, PCV valve, washing, and looking for rust. Right now, I'm looking forward to the adventure.

Pics or it never happened........ LOL

Just poking fun. Congrats on your purchase - the most enjoyable way to go broke I can think of.

Rust will show up first along the edge of the floor pan, under the roll bar mounting plates, and under the doubles part of the front fenders....... and the rear part of the frame between the rear axle and rear crossmember. Good luck and keep us posted

Today (after work) was more electrical wiring. Finished wiring the Derale electric fan and the controller. I was going to take pics, but it's just some wires along the fender well...

Next will be correcting the timing and adjusting the carb. Fun fun.

Still trying to find the right spring pressure for the return spring on hydroboost, lots of spring on this thing but boy does it stop good

Well while doing rear breaks I decided to go ahead and do one piece axles

I loosened the big screws that hold the windshield up and tried to fold it down on the hood. It didn't want to go. It looked like the more I tried to fold it down the more it wanted to just break in half, so I just left it up. Too much rust holding it to the body.

Try some oil on the hinges. I know the hinge from the 80s have a whole in the middle for oil. Leave a drop or 2 soak in every day for several days.
