Sorry. I bought it off a friend who decided not to cut up his pristine tub.

But if you want me to measure mine I will. It is a perfect size.

Quick question guys. Just installed a bestop softop that's been sitting in a box for almost a year. After installing it, i found a small hole about a quarter-inch in diameter. Its located in the center of the top, between the first and second bow supports. I don't know if i did it, or if it was damaged in shipping. I don't mind a little rain coming in, but should i be concerned about this causing a larger hole/tear over time? I did a quick patch job with some gorilla duct tape. but I doubt it's going to stop anything.

If it’s a tear, I would tape it shut as best as possible, then apply a patch of RTV on the back side. Will be a noticeable spot on the inside, but it should make a permanent fix..... And yep - I’d be afraid the hole would grow...

Thanks, bud! It is a hole, not a tear, but i'll buy some RTV all the same. I'm also contacting Bestop and my eBay seller to see if there are any warranty options I can explore.

Wouldn’t be a bad idea to cut a small patch out of similar vinyl, glue it down with the RTV, and sew it on. I usually use black gasket maker....

I was driving around Satan's front porch this weekend and got a couple blocks from the house and noticed the temp gauge creeping toward the H. Got it back home, parked it, and heard hissing coming from the upper radiator hose.

After a few choice words, I went back inside to let it cool down...as much as it could in 103 humid SE VA heat. Came back out, popped the radiator cap and it looked bone dry. Pulled the upper hose and the PO did a terrible job of patching a crack in the hose neck with some JB Weld.

Miraculously, the parts store down the road had a replacement radiator and hoses and I was back on the road in an hour.

Wow you were supper lucky on that one

I gotta give massive props to Bestop today. They're sending me a replacement top free of charge. Admittedly it took a lot of haggling. Originally they weren't going to do anything because they said my warranty was void because I bought it from an unauthorized seller on eBay. I talked to the eBay seller, and he said that Bestop was lying, and he was authorized. Everything changed when I got on the phone with a supervisor at Bestop, who immediately ordered me a new top. Just goes to show that you should always talk to a supervisor before giving up on something.

Thanks, bud! I gotta admit I was shocked when they said my warranty was void because i bought the top from this guy on eBay. Usually, when you buy something with a warranty, it doesn't matter if the seller is from Amazon, eBay, or some guy in an alley. If they had said my warranty was expired or doesn't cover this kind of damage, I would have been fine with that. It's just weird. All's well that ends well I guess! :)
