That's a good looking set shoes. Are they quiet?

Went to the jeep junkyard by me and got a parking brake assembly. Finally I can get the park brake working again.

I haven’t had em up to speed yet - gonna do that here shortly - but up to 50 they are VERY quiet. Also makes me realize how LOUD the mud kings were..... Twice coming thru the neighborhood I thought the Jeep had died when I let off the skinny pedal......

Ain’t it a pain when it doesn’t work? Makes life much easier.....

While you were waiting, did you get a tattoo at CHIPS ?

No, they’re not for me...... However - Chip did walk over and kept me entertained while I was waiting. Turns out he’s a huge AMC fan - he has a Rebel his parents bought new, and later brought him home from the hospital in..... Also has a couple of the sporty AMC’s - I forget which ones. He’s currently building up a 401 for one of em.... Nice guy, but I passed on the ink.

I remember the name Rebel, but it's been to long to retrieve it. Camera & motorcycle yes. :(

I floored my Jeep today. That is, I put the skinny pedal to the floor.

See, what happened was...... I was coming home from work and I got to this "T" where the road ended at the GM Proving grounds (back side) and I had to turn Left. Some cars had just turned before me and as I looked to my Right I saw this pickup truck and for some silly reason I thought it was going to turn so I jumped out and made my Left turn... I don't know why. Maybe it was just the long week wearing on me. The truck wasn't turning so all I did was put myself right in front of him. When my brain realized this I put the pedal down and my little Jeep picked up and flew!!! I mean, I was impressed at how fast this thing jumped up and went! That little Weber carb was screamin. Almost makes me want to upgrade it to a 38/38 just to see what it will do.

So that's what I did with my CJ today.

The flooring of the skinny pedal is a fine thing - But try to refrain from mixing it with a pickup chaser...... we’d like you to stick around for a while

Thanks shum8, yes mistakes like that are not done often but when they are, they are done to standard!

Put the top back on the old boy. Rain is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow. [finally!!] Been hot and very dry for the last month or so. Top will probably stay on till late Spring early Summer.

We finally got rain yesterday for almost an hour. Just a small area, most people remain dry.

Finally raining!!! Glad I got the top on yesterday.
I sowed 250 lbs of winter wheat yesterday (second time i've planted, no rain and turkeys=no germination] this rain should bring it on!!

Come over to North Carolina guys. I don't think its ever going to rain here again. Just one endless summer, until we blow up in a ball of flame. 🔥 ;)

Sent from the first decent temperature day since March LOL

Tuned up an $8 hatchet from harbor freight. Made a leather sheath for it too. I did place it in the CJ for a few minutes so felt it qualified.

First attempt at uploading pics from my phone so apologies for whatever happens...
