What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Mainly wondering how to keep rain / water from getting into that area, and filter area
I'll try to remember to do a detailed write up in the morning.

When I had my Q-jet carb, I got a hat and located the duct very carefully through the firewall. The hole in the firewall was only big enough to hold the duct tightly with a giant rubber grommet. You could not see the air filter tucked and concealed behind the dash panel. No dust or dirt splash from tires in the dunes, never ever got wet with rain water, and best of all, true cold air induction. Very unfortunately, I could not keep this set up with my newer engine.

I was smart enough to save the hole cutout piece. I put it back in place and oddly enough it looks like factory. Hopefully someone has the solution for newer engines with the intake hole in the front and facing forward.

I love running out and putting the soft top before It starts raining at 430am

Before I had a garage, I really payed attention to the weather forecast.

I have an emergency top I toss on if I think it's going to rain

If I could lie as much as the weather man and keep my job…….

This is what we got, and it isn’t the monsoon season yet. Broad sunlight and all.

Glad you didn’t get the baseball size ones. Or the tornadoes with it. Margaritas or scotch on the rocks to celebrate.

Yea, nothing major but very odd.

Mine does have a soft top, but it's rarely on (warm southern Texas here). So I keep it parked inside the barn when not in use. Heavy rain and sometimes hail is always possible. I also have a rain fly cover, but the sun destroyed the first one after about 9 months using it in the driveway. So that just goes with me on hunting/camping trips in case I get surprised (gert's right about the weather man). So when at home, it's safe in the barn.

Drove her to work today since it's not 100⁰ out924540c5f8c40d396a6daa0b3f54b633.jpg81600abc8b2d747b173d47019a99dd54.jpg

Hope there's no birds in that tree to leave you a surprise in the driver's seat for later.

Nothing this morning yet, but yesterday I stopped by the machine shop to check on my deuce-and-a-half CJ7 windshield project...
Some things you just have to farm out to the pros.

Stoked...!
