What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Drove it to work 120 miles round trip yesterday, ran like a champ after finding a way to silence the HighLift jack handle much more pleasant to drive. Now to get new wind shield wipers.

My Hi-Lift also rattles. It is mounted on my swing-out tire carrier in the back, laying horizontally. I have the isolation block for the handle and that works great. But the base plate rattles as it's only held on by a large cotter pin. Gotten used to it, but it would be nice to stop it if possible.

I use a bungee cord with one end in the open end of the handle and the other in a hole in the jack post to quiet it down a bit.

Let’s see some more underhood compartments…

Oh man, that is nice. Do you still have this gem…

No longer in my garage. Sold that one to a co-worker and got the '84 CJ7 I ride now. But since a co-worker bought it, I still get to see it once in a while. This little CJ5 was also my first home-done paint job. This is all rattle cans, including the flames and blending the colors.

Not bad at all.

Seems like you could run a bungee through the base plate and secure it to one of the holes in the riser. Rattles drive me nuts.

Keep’em coming. Some of you have some impeccable CJ’s. Where’s mdeluca, Masscj7, gr8dain…

Let’s do some show and tell. Who knows, maybe Doug Demuro, Scotty Kilmer, Donut Media or Jay Leno could land in this site and feature one of us. Or at least we could vote for the best build. :)

Nice

This was a few miles ago... but it hasn't changed much.

I did polish the coiled brake lines...;]

Also added this Cooper-Bussmann relay box and 60 amp breaker...

Truly amazing, mdeluca. That shiny intake augments your attention to detail, and your hose clamp selection shows it too.

Decided to get some topless photos....36fb7cae41f458dbe7299a985c7f3d91.jpgdd86cfa51148c82cbd85b9ddb5c45a60.jpg3b63f602c369e3a21739eb54c73cd916.jpg6498fdad5a6e1f85a3ed82b9eaaf2d1f.jpgdb3599231665274fbb3c49d0ea5f9438.jpg7584c12b17677d4a266406d803a74ad2.jpg6ec6398a081782d69d15ecb2f0064a50.jpgecd57d4069bfa876369774b6ff7dafc4.jpg78677cde89e7bb3b85e5cbccdf48f463.jpg

Don’t be shy and show that doggone engine!!! :)

mdeluca, I just read that. I would warn you against branching off this breaker to power your ignition circuit.
