Two thousand miles one way is truly a poke. I wish I could offer encouragement and tell you that it's totally worth it, it is, but the logistics of that adventure would cause most of us a ton of anxiety. It is amazing. Quite a few people find a way out there and then rent a jeep. Don't give up thinking about it, it might just happen

Next year Sand Hollow, This trip was Fins and Things, Hells Revenge, 7 mile rim and Gemini arches. Part of 7 mile Rim will be unpassable if they get more flooding and erosion in one section. As it is now 33's and a 4 inch left had me mildy drag my trailer plug mount on one soil and rock ledge.:cj7:

Drove a back mountain road to gas station for a Candy bar and a soda and then back home

I went there last year for the Scrambler annual event. Met 2 of my brothers. Camped and wheeled, he towed a popup camper. Totally worth it. We're thinking about doing it again in a few years.
I'll either tow mine out with a uhaul or rent a jeep out there. Totally worth it, totally.

Went to the eye doc, 130 jeep miles, no doors, no windows! Then it rained, really good A/C when it rains at 70 MPH lol.:drive:

Do you keep a bar of soap in the glove box ? Great time to get it out. In all seriousness, the only time I get a little worried is when you hear the lightning the same time you see it.

No soap, the rain around here tends to be very cold and the white reflections from my hide would blind traffic LMAO!

Put new mirrors on, the existing ones are in decent shape (surface rust is all), but vibrate so badly you can't see anything in them when above 10mph. Also drove it to a dentist appointment. Having to go to the dentist....🤬 Driving the jeep to get there....🥳 🤣

I did absolutely nothing to or with the CJ but I've been busy building a GTO frame 4910523d3b6f363dac117757eb70e24f.jpg5e80d073d2fb562121b87efc2d329d61.jpge626a41c92f4a5011add11e334abb813.jpg473541456ef3cd0059e8d3882a79691c.jpg

I noticed a few weeks back on my road trip that at higher speeds and rpm for long periods ( 70 mph or higher ) on the interstate I had a little oil seepage from the oil fill plug. Didn’t ever notice before that. Just had not driven that hard or long before. Kind of what the trip was for. See how the Jeep would hold up on some distance driving. Someone told me about how they had the same problem. So I bought a new cap. Original was all rubber. New one is the metal top. Seems a little tighter so will see how it works. 0DD80365-DA04-4A15-B4C9-E30AA85AC865.jpegEA11F724-4512-4AD6-BA76-C85E001FA024.jpeg
