What did you do to or with your CJ today?

Hmmm... suppose you're trying to tell us something...?
Yep, single flares on brake lines are very, very bad and dangerous. You should use brake line rated and not necessarily dom pressure rated tubing...

Looks good, the required double flares can be a pain sometimes huh?
Thanks! Yes they can be! I had to upgrade my flare kit. The one i bought from Amazon was cheap and inconsistent. I bought a Lisle kit and it’s much better. May not be what pro’s use but I’m getting better results. Not many of my friends have done brake lines so I’m learning on my own.

As long as they are good double flares with no splits in any part of the flare, you rock! :tu:

My mechanic said, “I’m going to have to do that repair”. So i took it as a dare lol. Next is cutting and shaping the approx. 45” hard line.

I think I might have to build a mini crawler and a new trailer soon! Gotta get the scrambler back up and running and get the kids into wheeling

That’s awesome!

I have decided to delete my engine oil cooler circuit. After careful observation, it is in fact overcooling the oil. Well, well. This is pleasantly interesting.

Finally got mine running again the last couple of days since getting back from Moab. I would say if it had been an airplane we would be calling it a catastrophic failure. But since it’s a Jeep and I just finally towed it home the rest of the way and we lived, well hell, I had a blast and it didn’t really turn the trip into a disaster, it was a success. More about that in my thread soon

Got a replacement MC. The one being replaced lasted at least 10 years but couldn’t trace where I got it from. Hope this one works ok.

The one from Novak with the larger bore for GM drivetrain.

Forgot to mention the one being replaced failed slowly and gave me plenty of time to replace it. It’s on its last leg.
